DELTA CONTROLS DAC 25x PRESS RELEASE

Delta Controls Inc. is proud to announce the release of its newest Delta Application Controller (DAC) - the DAC 25x^TM. The DAC 25x is a fully programmable DDC controller for operating various types of terminal unit and unitary HVAC equipment as a stand-alone device or part of a fully integrated building automation system.

The DAC 25x contains a number of advanced features:

• Comprehensive LCD and programmable keypad interface
• Fully programmable for multiple control applications and zone / room control
• EIA-485 and EIA-232 networking and system accessibility
• Availability as Native BACnet^TM or proprietary Intelli-Sys^TM.

User Interface
The DAC 25x series controller features an intuitive keypad and LCD display designed for ease of use to meet the needs of a wide range of users including building occupants, maintenance personnel and service technicians. This controller is fully programmable for local system access and monitoring capabilities of standard and / or customized applications such as boiler / chiller interface, AHU controller and zone / individual room control.

Delta Controls PC-based software package ORCAview^TM provides a graphical operator interface with full programming and configuration capabilities. If PC interface and communication software is not desired, local system access and monitoring capabilities are available.

Communication
Primary and secondary EIA-485 ports provide communication on LAN and sub-network level device connections. You can network multiple controllers together with any ORCA network or system controller as part of a distributed DDC system configuration or connect a limited number of controllers on a local area sub-network.

The DAC 25x operates on a stand-alone basis for local or remote PC-based access without the need for expensive controller gateways.

I/O Configuration
Multiple input and outputs control and monitor HVAC systems and other building services. These inputs include universal inputs for externally wired devices and an additional channel for ambient temperature. This controller contains a built-in sensor utilizing a dedicated input channel for ambient temperature measurement.

Software Configuration and Programming
The DAC 25x offers easy to use, powerful, object oriented database configurations and programming options:

• Connected I/O, complete with scale ranges and units
• Event and alarm management
• Peak demand based load shedding
• Trend logging and statistics
• Distributed zone and individual room control.

A wide range of HVAC, energy management, equipment scheduling, operational sequences and dynamic building strategies can be implemented in a self-documenting manner. These programmed applications are safeguarded by non-volatile FLASH memory.

The DAC 25x is a cost-effective and versatile DDC solution. It may be used as a stand-alone controller or integrated to a full DDC system.
