It's A Marriage Made in Heaven for Sontay and Delta Controls

Sontay, the market leader in building measurement and control peripherals, is helping to create the right climate for a perfect wedding thanks to the recent installation of sensor and measurement devices at the new Marriage Palace, near Tyumen in Siberia.

Commissioned by the Tyumen City Administration, the opulent 4,000m² Marriage Palace was created specifically to provide a modern and luxurious space to conduct civil proceedings. The building consists of four floors with a basement storage area and four halls for marriage services, registration, eating and for divorce proceedings.

As part of an extensive Building Management System installed by Russian systems integrator, Delta Controls, over 100 light level sensors from Sontay will feature in the new Marriage Palace alongside temperature and humidity sensors, air differential pressure switches, liquid pressure sensors and water detection sensors. The owners of the project, City Administration, invited local companies to tender and Delta Controls with its partner construction company Astoria won the bid because of its state-of-the-art solution.

The light sensors supplied by Sontay are specifically designed to return a linear 0-10Vdc signal representing the lux level at the sensor element. This value is typically used in lighting strategies to optimise energy efficiency through dimming and/or disabling of lights as required. The LL-SE-V is an external light level sensor with three different output ranges which can be selected using a link on the PCB. The LL-SC-V is available as a ceiling mounted device whilst the LL-W-V is designed for wall mounting and both variants feature a fixed range of 10-2000 lux.

Sontay’s sensors are used around the whole building to provide accurate measurement of the air temperature and humidity levels, any water leaks in the building and the pressure of water in pipework. Sontay’s PA-604 Air Differential Pressure Switches provide an important indicator of fan status and ‘filter dirty’ conditions within the building’s air-conditioning and ventilation plant.
