LOYTEC: Best of the Year 2010

For the second time within a few days LOYTEC electronics is pleased to receive another prestigious and well-recognized award: At the annual LonMark International Awards the LINX-121 Automation Server was awarded “Best Infrastructure Product of the Year 2010”.

The ceremony took place on November 8th during the annual LONCOM Community Event in Frankfurt, Germany. Hans-Jörg Schweinzer, president of LOYTEC electronics, and sales manager Dirk A. Dronia obviously were happy to have won the best-product-ranking of this international competition once again like they did already last year, that time with the LVIS Touch Panel LVIS-3E115.

“Energy efficiency is the issue of the future. And this is exactly where our highly developed LINX-121 Automation Servers set in. We do not only concentrate on the usual combination heating–ventilation–air conditioning but include other building functions such as lighting, sun blinds, access control. This produces synergy effects, saves energy, cuts down energy costs – that’s exactly what our LINX Automation Servers are for in the end. Investments in building automation have paid off after three years on average”, states Schweinzer.

LINX-121, at the moment the most advanced device among all LINX Automation Servers, combines a valuable range of features in an easy to handle way, for which until now different components from different manufacturers had to be configured in an elaborate process. Full programmability, integrated visualization, and the ability to connect the most common networks in building automation are additional features of this new development of LOYTEC.

LonMark International Awards recognizes projects, products, individuals, and programs that are leading the industry in innovation and accomplishment. Nominations from around the world are welcome and rated in four categories. Each category has a set of criteria by which nominations are judged. In case of infrastructure products these were: uniqueness of solution, addressing industry problem with effective solution, openness of solution and integration into an open LON system. Special consideration was given to energy efficiency, industry best practice solution and sustainable design principles.
