Congero(tm)- new tool uses existing AutoCAD(r) drawings

contemporary Philadelphia, PA  - Kapsoft announces the release of Congero 2.0 , a powerful SCADA/HMI program for the Windows 95/98/NT/2000 platforms, that increases productivity and saves development time by using existing AutoCAD drawings as the basis of a monitoring system.

Congero links data to AutoCAD drawings. Data coming from a material handling system, a factory automation system, or a construction project is linked visually to your existing AutoCAD drawings. The data comes from various sources: SQL ODBC databases, TCP/IP data, or Serial line data.

Congero consists of a design time system and a runtime system. The design time system assigns tags and colors to objects on the drawing, and configures the data sources. The runtime system executes the data retrieval and displays the correct colors and statuses. Congero also comes with a TCP/IP (Internet ready) server component that broadcasts changes to client stations.

Kapsoft is developing an ActiveX control for Congero that lets developers drop the Run-time component on to a VB form, Internet Explorer Web page, or Visual C++ development environment. Control available end of 4Q.

A fully functional free 30 demo is available to the public at http://www.congero.com.
