Open Services Gateway Initiative (OSGi) has launched a redesigned Web site (www.osgi.org) with helpful information on the value and benefits of the OSGi specification and organization.

The enhanced site is designed to serve as a central resource for all OSGi information, intuitively organized to provide a useful tool for media and industry analysts. OSGi has created a new look and feel for the site, refreshed existing content and added new sections. Large call-out buttons and drop-down menus provide fast and easy navigation. Compelling color graphics and descriptive overviews demonstrate how OSGi is enabling the delivery of managed broadband services to networks in homes, cars and other environments.

Here's a sampling of new and improved sections on the OSGi site:

• About OSGi: features more descriptive overviews of OSGi's Mission, Activities, Expert Groups and Committees.
• News and Events: offers information about OSGi events, news releases and news reports, and a separate section on Member news releases and news reports.
• Join OSGi: serves as a central location for information on membership benefits and by-laws and how to join OSGi.
• Resources: provides an overview of the OSGi specification and licensing terms, including a downloadable version of OSGi Service Platform Release 2, along with marketing collateral and links to other related industry sites.
• Directory: features contact information and email addresses for the OSGi organization and information services.
• Member's Area: a password-protected, members-only area for OSGi Expert Groups and Committees.
• Developer's Zone: scheduled for launch in 4Q/2001, this section will house a developer's community designed to stimulate the creation and use of products and services based on the OSGi specifications.
