Open Services Gateway initiative (OSGi) introduces its first edition of the OSGi Platform, OSGi's first newsletter. It will provide a look at the latest news and information on consortium-level activity, and updates on marketplace progress. The newsletter will be published six times annually, bringing to members and external audiences key highlights and updates on OSGi activities and progress. Open Services Gateway initiative (OSGi), established in 1999, is an independent, non-profit corporation working to define and promote open specifications for the delivery of managed broadband services to networks in homes, cars and other environments. OSGi also works to accelerate worldwide demand for products and services based on these open specifications through the sponsorship of technology, market and user education programs.

The San Ramon, California, USA-based consortium is comprised of leading Service and Content Providers, Network Operators, Software Developers, Gateway and Appliance Suppliers, Consumer Electronics Manufacturers and Research Institutions from around the globe. With an active and rapidly growing member base, OSGi is the leading worldwide specification for the delivery of managed services.
