Company: Systems Integration Manager
Introduction:
The Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) is in the process of a major
terminal upgrade program (TRIP), which will update the electrical and
mechanical systems in four of the five existing terminals. As
part of this program the building control systems will be replaced with
a new open protocol system that integrates all building systems (HVAC,
Lighting, Fire Alarm) as well as airport specific systems. This
integrated system called the Enterprise Integration and Operations
System (EIOS) will be used for operation and reporting for the
complex. A full time engineer is needed to support this project
providing review and support of project design and delivery related to
the deployment of the terminal control systems and the EIOS.
Job Description:
The System Integration Manager shall understand integrated building
control systems including HVAC, Lighting, and Fire Alarm controls. This
position requires design and submittal review, coordinating with
designers, contractors, master systems integrator, energy management,
airline, airport, and building operations personnel. System Integration
at DFW includes all building control systems, as well as airport
specific equipment (gates, conveyance, airplane power and cooling,
etc.) and IT systems for storage and retrieval of information including
export to CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and
reporting. Knowledge of Airport Terminals, Central Utility Plants, and
IT systems including but not limiting to HVAC and lighting controls as
well as People movers, Fire Protection System and power distribution
are required. Proven experience with open protocols including
BACnet, Lon Works, XML and ModBus are mandatory for this position. An
understanding of open protocols and recent integration of different
protocols with BACnet and Tridium Niagara AX is essential.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates shall have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or
electrical engineering from an accredited University, and be a
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 15 years
verifiable experience. Previous work experience shall be in the
design, and / or installation of control systems and systems
integration. Strong written and verbal skills as well as the
ability to manage multiple projects are required. Candidate will
need to reside in the DFW area and be required to pass a Federal
Government Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) background check.
