Session Overview

Building automation is increasingly driven by software platforms that connect systems, data, and people in new ways. In this session, leading vendors will share insights into their connected platforms, highlight real-world use cases, and offer best practices for successful deployment. Scott Cochrane, President & CEO, Cochrane Supply


Scott Cochrane is President and CEO of Cochrane Supply & Engineering, a leading Smart Building Controls Supplier with locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Texas, as well as an affiliate in Ontario called Canada Controls. Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with minors in Marketing and Finance from Eastern Michigan University and holds an additional minor in HVAC Technologies from Macomb Community College. In 2000, he took over the business from his father, Donald Cochrane, Sr., who founded the company in 1967. Scott is an IBcon Digital Impact Award Winner for going above and beyond to positively impact the smart building industry, as well as a winner of the ControlTrends Impact Person of the Year Award and Distributor Executive of the Year Award for his contributions to the industry.

Stephen Holicky, Chief Product Officer, Tridium, Inc.


Stephen Holicky is a seasoned technology executive and the Chief Product Officer at Tridium Inc., a global leader in building automation solutions under Honeywell International. With over 15 years of experience spanning product strategy, systems integration, and engineering, Stephen has consistently driven innovation across complex portfolios in the smart building and IoT space. Since stepping into the CPO role in 2022, Stephen has led Tridium’s product vision and strategy, modernizing the Niagara Framework through multiple core software releases and a comprehensive refresh of the JACE hardware platform. He has also launched cloud-native services and a developer-friendly e-commerce marketplace, transforming how customers interact with building automation technologies. Earlier in his career, Stephen held progressive product management roles at Tridium, where he led the development of several major Niagara Framework releases. Prior to joining Tridium, he spent over a decade at exp U.S. Services, where he specialized in smart building design, systems integration, and energy auditing for federal agencies and commercial clients across North America and the Caribbean. A recognized thought leader in the building automation industry, Stephen is a frequent speaker at major conferences and industry forums. He also serves as master of ceremonies and keynote speaker at Tridium’s annual customer summits, which attract over 1,000 attendees globally. His insights on platform strategy, IoT architecture, and the future of connected infrastructure continue to shape the evolution of intelligent buildings worldwide.

Kimon Onuma, President, Onuma, Inc.


Kimon Onuma, FAIA is an architect and technology strategist with over 37 years of experience at the intersection of the built environment, data, and interoperability. As founder of ONUMA, Inc., he pioneered cloud-based BIM, GIS, and Digital Twin solutions—delivering SaaS in 2000 when most still shipped CDs. Since the early 1990s, he has used the web to connect teams and data across projects—long before the AEC industry was ready. ONUMA, Inc. has remained fully remote and cloud-first for over two decades, focusing on real-world outcomes over hype. In 2025, ZAiMAP launched as the next evolution of this ecosystem—a unified interface connecting decades of work to enable actionable facility intelligence across time, location, and context. From operations and resilience to AI insights, ZAiMAP bridges BIM, GIS, sensors, and people. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Kimon leads a team fluent in both architecture and computer science, supporting large owner organizations with open, scalable, and sustainable solutions. Clients include the U.S. State Department, DOD, VA, DHS, GSA, USCG, USACE, U.S. Navy, and major education systems. An advocate for open standards, he contributes to NIBS, buildingSMART International, OGC, and the Linux Foundation’s Tiger Team. Creator of BIMStorm, he continues to drive owner-led digital transformation through open collaboration and system-level thinking.

Lenny Joseph, Founder & CEO, Greenole | KLPD | BidTracer


Lenny Joseph has over 30 years of global experience across five continents in construction, manufacturing, and research, working as a consulting engineer, owner’s representative, general contractor, and controls contractor in the HVAC industry. He spent more than 16 years at Johnson Controls, where he ultimately served as Global Vice President for Smart Buildings and Commercialization, leading strategy for global product innovation, partnerships, as well as defining market channels. Beyond JCI, Lenny is the Chief Strategy and Commercialization Officer for Bidtracer, a sales and operations platform for distributors and contractors, and a channel management tool for manufacturers. Lenny also founded KLPD Global (a hybrid distributor and master system integrator for building controls and power management) and Greenole (a cloud-native platform transforming how buildings, digital assets, and people interact). He is an active ASHRAE member and a frequent international speaker at conferences including AHRI, the Latin American Airport Summit, and Telefónica’s Global Workshop on Energy & Climate Change. As the Founder of Greenole, Lenny is pioneering a new approach to building operations that goes beyond efficiency to drive environmental resilience and operational intelligence. He believes that reimagining the interaction between buildings, digital assets, and people can reduce emissions and costs while expanding opportunities for the next generation.
