We now have a “Thought Leadership Liaison”

A Thought Leadership Liaison is a strategic bridge-builder. In the context of our work at AutomatedBuildings.com, this role acts as the “connective tissue” between high-level visionary concepts (the “Thought Leadership”) and the practical, boots-on-the-ground industry players who execute them.

Think of it as the person who translates “What’s Next” into “What We Do Now.”

The Three Pillars of the Role

PillarResponsibilityThe “Do-ocratic” Edge
The TranslatorTaking complex AI or “Portfolio Autonomy” theories and making them digestible for facility managers and engineers.Turning “Semantic Interoperability” into “How your chillers talk to each other.”
The ConnectorFinding the “Quiet Doers” in the industry and giving them a platform to share their insights.Moving beyond the “talk-ocracy” to highlight real results.
The CuratorIdentifying which trends are actually worth sharing and which are just noise.Ensuring the Automated Buildings community only spends time on “Breakthrough Insights.”

“A Thought Leadership Liaison doesn’t just hold the map; they make sure the scouts and the generals are looking at the same one.”

As AutomatedBuildings.com, we are Thought Leadership. We take the “gears” (the technical posts and the “people” (the diverse talent) and show how they fit together.

Kelly Sinclair – Thought Leadership Liaison

I’m fascinated by the world of automated and smarter buildings, even though I’m not an industry expert. My background is in sales, onboarding, and support, honed through years of experience at Shopify and Functionfox Systems. What I bring to this industry is a different kind of expertise: the ability to listen, connect, and amplify the voices of those doing the real work. As Thought Leadership Liaison, my role is to bridge the gap between the innovators shaping this industry and the community that needs to hear from them. I work closely with our sponsors and contributors to uncover the insights that matter, translate technical expertise into accessible conversations, and ensure that valuable perspectives don’t get lost in the noise. My connection to this industry comes through my family and my insatiable curiosity. Every day is a learning opportunity, and I’m here to make that journey collaborative. If you have an idea, a perspective, or a question about how to contribute to the conversation, I’m the person to contact. Let’s figure out the future of smarter buildings together.
