I have been in the building automation industry since 2008, starting as a field technician after earning my BS in Engineering Technology. My recent experience includes RCx for engineering firms—specifically focusing on GSA laboratory and hospital facilities—recommissioning legacy control systems, conducting demand response research with custom Python algorithms, and managing smart building IoT energy efficiency projects. I am passionate about coding and open-source projects. I enjoy finding creative ways that open-source solutions can enhance the industry, especially as a counterpoint to the increasingly proprietary nature of HVAC and BAS systems.
