Web Connectivity for the Andover AC 256

[an error occurred while processing this directive]Livermore, CA - ADI Integrated Technologies has begun shipping the Andover AC 256 Web/i, their latest solution which targets the market for remote monitoring and control of facilities with an existing Andover AC 256 Energy Management Systems (EMS).

The Andover AC 256 Web/i includes features that allow for full EMS functionality through a standard web browser. These include:

• Browser based access to your EMS from any computer, or web enabled PDA, with Internet access. 
• A terminal emulator, which can run concurrently with the browser, that provides full system programming capabilities within the browser, eliminating the need for dial-up capabilities. 
• Remote back-up and restoration of systems files in the event of an Andover database failure. Database files from the Andover AC 256 EMS are copied onto the Web/i and can be easily and quickly restored without requiring an onsite visit from a technician. 
• Auto - interrogation which automatically builds the point database, text and PDA based web pages.

The Web/i is a hardware and software platform for providing access to your facility through the Internet. Unlike other solutions, Web/i is "Web Based" instead of "Web Enabled". No proprietary vendor software is needed to access the automation system, just a standard web browser. The entire system can be installed, configured and commissioned with just one visit to a customer site (in most cases within 3 hours). Web/i's Linux operating system serves as an extremely robust platform and is not subject to the downtime familiar with competing operating systems. The Web/i includes security features (Secure Socket Layer, or SSL) which insure that your data stays secure, allowing you to maximize the uptime at the facilities.

In addition to the Andover AC 256 Web/i, ADI is also currently shipping: 

• The TAC Web/i which provides the same functionality for the TAC/CSI I/Net network of controllers. 
• The Siemens Web/i, GE Web/i, Veris Web/i and ABB Web/i which connect to electric meters and provide real-time access to your electric meter data. 
• The Modbus Web/i and Dallas Bus Web/i, which can provide web enabling to devices or systems that use either of these communication protocols. 
• The Generac DG50 Web/i which provides web enabling functionality for the Generac DG50 generator.

Additional versions of the Web/i are under development which will provide the same functionality as the Andover and TAC versions. Planned releases include: 

• Andover Infiniti Web/i 
• Trane Web/i 
• Johnson Web/i, which will connect to JCI Metasys Systems utilizing either the N1 or N2 protocol 
• American Auto-matrix Web/i

ADI also offers optional management and hosting of energy and system data on a dedicated server.
