Cisco Becomes Platinum Sponsor of Premium Buildings-IT Convergence Event
Dallas, Texas — Global IP leader Cisco Systems today became a Platinum Sponsor of the 4th annual BuilConn Americas, the integrated and intelligent building community’s premier conference and exposition being held in The Palm Springs Convention Center, May 16-18, 2006, in Palm Springs, CA.
As a BuilConn Platinum Sponsor, Cisco will take a center-stage position in the support of intelligent and integrated buildings. In line with their CCRE (Cisco Connected Real Estate) initiative confirms Cisco as a catalyst of Building-IT convergence and the increasing use of IP technologies in building systems.
As part of their participation and in partnership with BuilConn, Cisco is sponsoring the first of a series of industry roundtables, a by-invitation-only gathering of key stakeholders on the subject of Building-IT convergence.
BuilConn is now in its 4th year of defining building-IT convergence and is focused on the adoption, application and business development of IP-centric building automation systems. "From the very beginning, BuilConn's focus has been about connectivity, and it's encouraging to see the most influential player in IP connectivity take a lead role in supporting BuilConn," Anto Budiardjo, BuilConn organizer, said. "Without doubt this signals Building-IT convergence as being a reality today."
BuilConn is a three-day conference and expo uniting integrators, manufacturers, consultants and building owners from the disparate disciplines of the building systems industry to learn and discuss the trends, technologies and their applications for tomorrow’s “intelligent” buildings enabled by IP technologies. From Access Control and HVAC to Lighting, CCTV and IT, BuilConn is the only network infrastructure and integration event focusing on bridging the gaps between these sectors to deliver true Networked Building Systems.
The fourth annual event will be held in the Palm Springs Convention Center, May 16-18 2006. For further information, please visit http://www.builconn.com/.
BuilConn is co-located with the M2M Conference and Exhibition, now in its 3rd year of defining M2M and the Pervasive Internet. For further information, please visit http://www.m2mexpo.com/.
