Saftronics’ new compact CV10 AC Vector drive comes with built-in PLC functionality

Small in size but big in performance, the CV10 AC Drive with built in PLC functions provides a wide range of speed control functions and is designed for easy programming and fast installation. CV10 drives in some of the industries smallest enclosures, cover from 0.5 to 15 HP; 230 and 460V. Expanded features include optional LCD keypad display that supports 5 languages, a RS232 port to accommodate PC communications for Window based software and a wide range of PLC functions including timers, counters, comparators and fault history.

This small package provides Sensorless Vector control and 18 predefined Volts/Hertz patterns to allow you to optimize your application requirements. The CV10 provides a wide range of communication and performance options, including auto tuning for optimum motor performance. Serial Modbus RTU, PID and built-in PLC functions are standard. Optional Profibus, DeviceNet and Ethernet IP communications are available.

CV10’s PLC functions are easily programmed using the new CV10 Saflink 2005 software package. A wide range of control and protective functions can be specified to match the needs of most applications using a user-friendly, Intelligent Ladder Logic Editor. A unique feature is the ability to adjust PLC parameters via the drive’s own keypad. Efficient use of Saflink 2005 requires no prior PLC programming experience. Design aids such as graphical representation and overview of used and available function blocks plus automatic configuration of digital I/O’s simplify the programming process.
