Open-System Vendors Demonstrate IP Interoperability Live on ASIS Show Floor. IQinVision, Exacq, Firetide, and Pivot3 showcase live interoperability of wireless connectivity, megapixel cameras, smartphone viewing, and smart storage. 

Three Industry Leaders Announce “designIP series” Symposium Launch. The designIP series events will feature presentations from all three companies covering the migration from analog to digital video surveillance. Presentations will detail how best to design an IP-based surveillance system that can maximize cost-effectiveness without sacrificing security results. designIP events will be held in Chicago October 1st and on October 8th in New York.

IQinVision Expands Line of System Support Tools with IQmanager. IQmanager enables network managers to easily edit and update IQeye cameras with an intuitive, intelligent software support tool—it finds local and remote cameras, performs batch updates, cuts and pastes camera configurations, and even performs basic camera diagnostics. 

The RADCO Companies Deploy Brivo ACS WebService™ in Project Upgrade. In Brivo’s largest installation to date, the 1300-unit luxury development, The Met, represents the best of what Brivo offers for such large installations—management for 100+ doors, 16 telephone entry systems, a visitor management system at the gatehouse, multiple cameras at entry/exit points, more than 2,300 resident user records, and the scalability to grow up to 5,000.


Central Michigan University Utilizes Brivo ACS WebService™ to Protect Multiple Buildings. CMU’s department of Off-campus Programs has deployed Brivo to manage access at five classroom buildings located in four Michigan cities hundreds of miles apart. The Brivo system manages 20 doors, providing secure access and automatic locking and unlocking for students, staff, and faculty.

Video Playback Highlights Recent ACS WebService Release. The recent release of ACS WebService 9.2 gives Brivo’s customers the ability to edit group privileges and provides assistant administrators with bulk editing permissions. The release also offers major benefits to OVR Webservice customers, who now have the ability to quickly locate and view even non-event related video. The playback clip can be viewed in two-minute increments and may also be downloaded as a WMV file. Finally, ACS WebService now offers expanded DVR support with the recent integration of the Samsung SHR DVR line.
