Silent Witness Introduces the DVMS1600 Digital Video Management System
Surrey, BC: January 3, 2002 - Silent Witness (NASDAQ: SILW / TSE: SWE), a leading provider of video monitoring technology, announces the introduction of the sixteen-channel DVMS 1600 Digital Video Management System. This full-featured digital recorder stores real-time, high-resolution video on internal hard drives for safekeeping. It is designed to replace both a VCR and a sixteen-channel multiplexer.
The DVMS 1600 features include text insertion for integration with ATM machines and POS systems, independent motion detection per channel for recording action-only events, audio recording for added event corroboration, definable search criteria for locating events instantaneously and remote management via LAN/WAN, ISDN, DSL or PSTN connections. Other system features include: a 720 x 480 resolution for capturing crisp, clear pictures, image authentication, a 60 image per second record rate for recording action events and a robust real-time operating system ensuring minimum system downtime.
The DVMS1600 along with the Silent Witness complimentary line of distinct cameras and other video monitoring products offer customers integrated solutions for a wide range of applications in the financial, retail and commercial/industrial sectors.
