BTL Mark: Resolve interoperability issues & increase buyer confidence
Interoperability Association Introduces New Certification Program
Program Designed to Speed LONMARK Products to Market
SAN JOSE, CA - Based on a growing demand for interoperability certifications for member products, the LONMARK® Interoperability Association announced that it is now offering LONMARK Sponsor and Partner members no charge certifications.
The new program is designed to accelerate and streamline the product certification process and to increase the catalog of LONMARK certified products. Making product certifications an intrinsic benefit of membership is expected to further bring together and reward the more than 300 LONMARK Association members driving the widespread use of open, interoperable control systems across industries and across the globe using Echelon Corporation's (NASDAQ: ELON) LONWORKS® device networking platform. Only products that have been certified by the LONMARK Association are eligible to carry the LONMARK logo, the indicator that a product has been designed and tested to interoperate over a LONWORKS network.
The new certification program works on a cumulative basis. Members will receive a number of free-certifications, based on their membership type, which will increase as a function of years of continuous membership. All Partner Members will receive two free-certifications in their first year of membership. One additional free certification will be added in each subsequent and continuous year of membership with a maximum of five free certifications in any given year. Sponsor Members will receive four free-certifications in their first year of membership. One additional free certification will also be added in each subsequent and continuous year of membership with the maximum of ten free certifications in any given year.
