Manchester, NH, July 18, 2007 – Hitachi Cable Manchester (HCM) continues to be a leader in the development of new and innovative communication cables.
HCM is pleased to announce the launch of its new Category 6A shielded (F/UTP) cables.
HCM, always a leader in product performance, is the first cable manufacturer to
obtain Underwriters Laboratories’ Category 6A verification for its 10 gigabit
shielded cables. This verification ensures that HCM’s Category 6A F/UTP cables,
when mated with verified Category 6A shielded connectivity, will deliver the
highest performance possible. Also, unlike cable from some of its competitors,
HCM’s Category 6A F/UTP cable utilizes a single foil wrapped around the cable
core. Other cables, in addition to a foil around the core, also individually
wrap each of the four cable pairs with foil. This construction is more expensive
than the HCM construction and adds significant time to the termination process.
Steven Kenney, Marketing Manager for HCM adds, “Our Category 6A F/UTP cables
offer a solution that is affordable, easy to install, and will provide the 10
gigabit performance that our customers desire. The UL verification also
demonstrates that our cables will surpass the requirements of the Category 6A
standard.”
HCM’s Category 6A F/UTP cables are available in both CMP and CMR constructions. All Category 6A cables are manufactured at the Manchester, New Hampshire facility.
