Securing Buildings News

FAIRPORT, N.Y. – Bosch Security Systems, Inc., a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security solutions, announces the release of Extreme CCTV products with built-in Bosch Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA): a culmination of award-winning active-infrared illumination and cutting-edge IVA-ready IP technology.

IP Infrared Imaging uses Black Diamond active-infrared to deliver uncompromised night-time imaging for 24/7 surveillance. High-Fidelity images allow the optimized function of on-board IVA for effective night-time event detection and situational awareness. Additionally, high-signal, low-noise video results in efficient compression and low bit rates for a more stable IP system.

ASIS attendees can experience the advanced technology now embedded in Bosch Extreme CCTV IP cameras by taking part in the Extreme IVA challenge at the company’s booth. Participants will be tasked with stealing an object from a staged scene under video surveillance by Bosch Extreme cameras featuring embedded IVA capabilities. When the cameras recognize the item has been removed from the scene, they will generate an alarm to notify the person monitoring the area.

By embedding Intelligent Video Analysis capabilities in IP cameras and encoders, Bosch enables customers to push video content analysis (VCA) to the edge. This system design eliminates the need for costly servers to run analytics software, equipment that is required for many competitors’ products. As a result, Bosch’s solution is more cost-effective and easier to manage for the end user.

Precision engineered to operate in low light and no light environments, Bosch’s Extreme CCTV series ensures reliable performance of IP systems in the most challenging conditions and meets the surveillance needs of various locations, including critical infrastructure, government buildings and ports.
