Johnson Controls offers new P266 condenser fan speed control
The new patent-pending design helps celebrate 90-year
anniversary of the Johnson Controls/PENN brand
MILWAUKEE (August 3, 2009) – Johnson Controls, the global leader in energy
efficiency and sustainability, is now offering the P266 condenser fan speed
control – the latest sustainable innovation within the Johnson Controls/PENN
brand of refrigeration products.
Offering more features and application flexibility, the P266 is a fan speed
control for single-phase Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) motors used in a wide
variety of outdoor low-ambient refrigeration and air conditioning condenser
applications.
Compact, cost-effective and energy efficient, the P266 product highlights
include: a stainless steel electronic pressure transducer that prevents
refrigerant leaks; a patent-pending design that can extend motor life by
reducing power and motor temperature at lower speeds; a weather resistant
enclosure and field adjustable speed, pressures, start voltage and minimum
speed/cutoff
“
The
P266 showcases our commitment to sustainability and safety in the refrigeration
business. Not only is this product more energy efficient, compatible with more
fan motors, and extends motor life, it prevents any potential refrigerant leak,”
said Agustin Cardona, refrigeration product manager, Johnson Controls.
The P266 is brought to the market as the Johnson Controls/PENN brand celebrates
its 90th anniversary. Two brothers, Albert and Ralph Penn, founded the
refrigeration products business on Dec. 1, 1919.
