New, web-based, integrated access control system easily managed via a web browser

RICHMOND, Virginia Tridium Inc., the leading provider of device integration and Internet-based control applications introduced Vykon Security™, a web-based access control and alarm monitoring security system. Vykon Security provides security administrators with integrated management of access control, alarm monitoring and personnel credential management in real-time via any standard web browser.

As the first security system to be built on the highly successful NiagaraAX® Framework, the industry’s leading facility management software platform, Vykon Security can connect to any building automation system and be seamlessly integrated into the HVAC, lighting and energy management systems within a facility.

The heart of Vykon Security is its advanced Security Appliance, an IP, based controller that eliminates the need for on-site PC’s or thick client software and is capable of storing thousands of credentials and controlling multiple doors. Some of the other advanced features include:
● IT connectivity includes XML, oBIX, SNMP

● Connectivity to any BAS system via BACnet®, LonWorks®, Modbus®, and oBIX

About Tridium Inc.
Tridium, a global software and technology company, is the inventor of the Niagara Framework®, a software framework that integrates diverse systems and devices - regardless of manufacturer, or communication protocol - into a unified platform that can be easily managed and controlled in real time over the Internet using a standard web browser. Today, there are over 50,000 instances of Niagara operating in over 6,000 installations worldwide in applications that include: energy management, building automation, M2M, telecommunications, security automation, lighting control, maintenance repair operations (MRO), service bureaus, convergence retailing and total facilities management – all realizing improved operational efficiencies, reduced costs and greater returns.
