Automated Logic Corporation Acquires Logical Automation, Inc.

KENNESAW, Ga., Nov. 19, 2009 – Automated Logic Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative control systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and energy management of buildings, has acquired Logical Automation, Inc. (LAI), an independent controls contractor with offices in Pittsburgh and State College, Pennsylvania. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Automated Logic Corp. is part of Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

LAI designs, installs and services building control systems for healthcare, university, biomedical, commercial, and institutional facilities in the Greater Pittsburgh, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia markets. It has been an Automated Logic dealer since 1987, with a strong history of business growth, technology leadership, and a reputation for customer care and employee development. LAI president Kirk Hamilton and the firm’s management team will continue in their respective roles.
