Richmond , Virginia / Boulder, Colorado : January 2007 - Tridium and Architectural Energy Corporation announced today the availability of a new HVAC fault detection and diagnostics system built using Tridium’s NiagaraAX software platform. The ENFORMA® Building Diagnostics™ system, developed by Architectural Energy Corporation, automatically detects hidden operational and performance problems which waste energy in air handlers, chillers, cooling, towers, and pumps.

“With rising and unpredictable energy and building maintenance costs, it makes good economic sense to operate and maintain your building as efficiently as possible. Effectively targeting corrective operation and maintenance efforts will save time and money” said Stuart Waterbury, ENFORMA Technical Manager. “That is exactly what ENFORMA® Building Diagnostics will do for you.”

ENFORMA Building Diagnostics provides continuous and automated performance analysis of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system components. The ENFORMA software, via the Internet, alerts the building operator or service contractor at time intervals selected by them. These notifications provide immediate diagnostic results, as well as access to up-to-date performance data on all buildings and systems connected to the ENFORMA Building Diagnostics software.

“Diagnostic results provided by ENFORMA Building Diagnostics enable operation and maintenance staff to solve the root cause of equipment problems, rather than dealing with only the symptoms” said Vernon Smith, ENFORMA Business Manager. The ENFORMA software features a modular, expandable design enabling customers to only pay for monitoring of building components that they select.

contemporary “NiagaraAX provides complete interoperability among diverse systems and devices through a unified, web-based framework. This unique and powerful technology gave Architectural Energy Corporation the ability to rapidly introduce an application on a platform that embraces both their integration needs and their philosophy of supporting legacy solutions”, said Marc Petock, Director of Marketing of Tridium.
