BOULDER, Colo. — Feb. 7, 2012 — Continental Control Systems today announced that the company has begun shipping its Accu-CT™ high-accuracy, revenue-grade split-core current transformer (CT). With linearity better than 0.5% over the range of 1% to 120% of the rated current, the Accu-CT complies with the accuracy requirements of ANSI C57.13 class 1.2 and class 0.6 for tenant submetering and billing. Its low-voltage output (333 mVac at rated current) makes for easy installation without shorting blocks. The innovative design enables quick and easy installation, even with gloved hands.

This month Continental Control Systems is introducing two new options for the Accu-CT line of current transformers: the Opt 1V which provides an ouput of 1 Vac output at full current rating and the Opt C0.6 which provides accuracy compliant with ANSI 57.13 Class 0.6 at 60 Hz.  Specifically designed for demanding revenue grade requirements, Opt C0.6 comes with a certificate of calibration for models with rated currents of 30 amps and above.

The in-house designed Accu-CT is for use with WattNodeŽ energy meters or any other meter requiring a low- voltage input.  The UL-recognized CT is available in rated currents of 5 A, 20 A, 50 A, 100 A, 200 A, and 250 A, with inside dimensions of 0.75 inches by 0.75 inches (20 mm by 20 mm). The unit features 8-foot, 22-AWG twisted-pair leads.
