Setra Systems Announces Expanded Capabilities for Model SRCM Room Pressure & Condition Monitor

(www.setra.com), a leading global designer and manufacturer of pressure measurement instrumentation for industrial, HVAC/R, semiconductor, energy, environmental, medical, pharmaceutical, and meteorological requirements, has announced a number of recent design and performance enhancements to its model SRCM room pressure & condition monitor.

The CE-compliant model SRCM is designed to measure and evaluate positive, negative or neutral air pressures per CDC guidelines within a variety of pharmaceutical, hospital (operating room and airborne infection isolation room), semiconductor, laboratory, vivarium, and clean room environments. Its unique construction combines Setra Systems’ own patented, field-proven, very low capacitance sensing technology with the very latest in electronic circuitry design, for a unit that offers both highly accurate pressure measurements and a simple, intuitive user interface with clear display of readings. In addition, the all-in-one SRCM unit significantly reduces initial installation and setup costs by allowing for flush mounting in an off-the-shelf three-gang electrical box. This flush mount design allows for easy cleaning.

True differential pressure is able to be measured and displayed with configurable resolution to 0.0001 inches of W.C. In addition to pressure, the monitoring and display capabilities of the SRCM now include temperature, humidity, and other user defined (e.g., Co2, LUX) parameters. The SRCM also features a 1/3 screen message banner (room condition dashboard) for notification of room condition that is now user expandable into a full screen for easier viewing. A high-resolution TFT color touch screen display allows for fingertip access to menus that guide the user through room setup, room identification and status, security and calibration. The SRCM also features a standard on-board sensor and remote sensor monitoring, as well as output and display averaging. Units feature configurable analog 0 to 5 VDC and 0 to 10 VDC outputs, as well as 4-20 mA output in pressure ranges from ±0.05 to ±5.00 in W.C., with 0.5% full-scale accuracy. Optional 0.25% accuracy is available upon request, with BACnet® protocol available as an option or field upgrade. The secure, password enabled SRCM also features SPDT relay output for remote signaling and audible alarming of room pressure status to alert personnel, as well as door status indication.
