January 11, 2008 — Lafayette, CO — Electronic Solutions, Inc. (ESI) announces today a new line of motor controls utilizing a new technology platform known as RQ, or Remotely Queryable, allowing for the simple integration of motorized products into automation systems.
The RQ intelligent motor controls enable consumers to control their motorized products through any automation system. The RS232 or RS422 serial commands can operate individual controls, group controls, and ALL controls through a single data string. In addition, RQ controls can specify any intermediate position from 1% to 99%, giving precise control.
The key benefit of RQ is the bi-directional capabilities built into the
controller. The feedback provided to the automation system includes a
confirmation the controller received a command, the connected products starting
position, a report when the product arrives at the desired destination, to
confirm programming changes, and when queried for data. With the use of this
feedback in automation systems, integrators can animate interfaces with movement
and confirm the position status of the products being controlled regardless of
the type or number of connected systems.
With this new advancement of the ESI product line, home automation projects of any size have the ability of superior motor control and up to the moment feedback.
