Atlanta, GA – July 7, 2006 – Automated Logic Corporation (ALC), a leading manufacturer of intuitive and innovative building control solutions, recently honored its dealers at its Annual Meeting. The top awards were based on many factors including superior performance in the field, reputation in the market, sustained yearly growth, and willingness to learn and develop.

The top award, Dealer of the Year, was awarded to PC Automated Controls of El Paso, Texas, which has been an ALC Dealer for over 13 years and is known as the top control company in far western Texas and southern New Mexico. PC Automated Controls is known in their market for their responsive service and professional attitude. Their customers’ facilities represent a broad range of commercial applications and include such clients as AT&T, Boeing Electronics, and the City of El Paso. They have undergone tremendous growth over the past few years and have a market share in the top 10% of ALC dealers.

Also awarded at the meeting was Project of the Year for Mapleton Local School District, Ashland, Ohio. The school had significant concerns over mounting energy costs. From day one there were poor conditions with another energy management system, with temperatures varying by as much as 8 degrees off setpoint. There were multiple equipment failures due to excessive run times and extremely high maintenance costs. The school called in ALC’s dealer, Comfort Control Group of Cleveland, Ohio. Comfort Control Group replaced the system, which had only been installed for twelve months. The trending capabilities of WebCTRL®, Automated Logic’s web-based energy management system, quickly identified problems in the building envelope. During an unprecedented 3-week summer heatwave Comfort Control Group was able to maintain the 76 degree setpoint without turning on chillers. The results were significant energy savings and and one-year simple payback. According to Lori Lytle, superintendent, “Comfort Control Group has proven to our district that proper implementation of a quality control system can have a huge impact on the operational costs of our buildings. We are now giving our students and staff a quality learning environment while, at the same time, lowering our operational costs through energy savings.”

According to Gerry Hull, president and chief executive officer of Automated Logic Corporation, “We are extremely proud of all of our dealers and take this opportunity to recognize outstanding performance and teamwork with dealers who share our objective of leading our industry in technology and delivering the undisputed best value of products, systems and services to our end-user customers.

For over 25 years, Automated Logic has been a leader in providing intuitive, innovative building control solutions for thousands of buildings worldwide. They have defined new levels of operational freedom and flexibility with their graphical programming and graphical user interface, utilization of native BACnet communications for true interoperability, and open architecture. With WebCTRL, users can fully access and control building functions from virtually any computer or wireless device, anywhere in the world. It uses XML/SOAP to integrate your building automation system with utility systems, weather forecasts, and similar applications worldwide. Standard features like learning adaptive optimal start and request-based control provide a comfortable workspace for the least possible energy use.
