Design and Construction of safe and sustainable highrise structures
14th to 16th April 2010 - Munich

OBJECTIVES
Following the success of the former conferences in Ban-galore, Singapore, London, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, To-ronto, Dubai and Abu Dhabi the International Federation for High Rise Structures (IFHS) and Technische Univer-sität München have decided to announce the organiza-tion of the 9th International Conference for Highrise Towers and Tall Buildings 2010, that will be held at the Technische Universität München from April 14-16, 2010.

Engineers and researchers from around the world will find the Munich conference 2010 to be a unique opportunity to share new ideas, experiences, and knowledge within the field of Highrise Towers and Tall Buildings.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers on any topic relevant to the Conference themes are welcome. One page abstracts in English should be submitted electronically through the conference web-page www.mb.bv.tum.de/ifhs until October 15th, 2009. Contributed papers will be selected by the Scientific Committee on the basis of these abstracts. The abstract should clearly state the purpose and the conclusions of the full paper. Detailed instructions will be sent to the authors of the selected abstracts. The final paper will be checked by the Scientific Committee.

Reliable Controls SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM / TOPICS
The scientific program will consist of peer-reviewed papers presented in Technical Sessions. In addition, Key-note Lectures will be given by invited speakers. Topics of the conference will be:
- Sustainability and economy
- Urbanistic concepts and Transportation
- Building method
- Requirements on safety, fire protection, escape
- Rehabilitation, conversion, re-development
- Building equipment and energy supplies
- Cladding and Building materials
- Design aspects (foundation, stability, earth-quake)
- Comfortableness and microclimate
- Insurance (risk management)

DEADLINES
Deadline for abstracts October 15, 2009
Acceptance of abstracts November 15, 2009
Deadline for papers January 15, 2010
Acceptance of papers February 15, 2010
