Wonderware Selects Echelon and ConneXSoft as Endorsed Partners to Address Facility & Energy Management Markets

LAKE FOREST, Calif., March 9, 2009 -- Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, today announced the expansion of its partner ecosystem with the addition of Echelon Corp. and ConneXSoft to the Wonderware Innovation Partner Network. This expansion reflects a significant commitment by Wonderware to develop more open and integrated solutions for facility and energy conservation management applications.

With the selection of Echelon Corp. and ConneXSoft as new Endorsed Software and Hardware Partners, Wonderware will work closely with these companies to develop new, cooperative energy and facility conservation solutions that are easy to use, engineer, install and maintain. In addition, each partner will participate in new business development and joint marketing activities worldwide.

Wonderware and Echelon solutions have been used together extensively worldwide for facility and energy management. This partnership enables the two companies to continue to work closely together on technical integration of their key technologies, including Echelon's i.LON®, SmartServer and Wonderware System Platform software - built on open industry standards-based ArchestrA technology. The i.LON SmartServer enables Wonderware customers to control, monitor and manage virtually any electronic device in a LonWorks® network, and offers energy-saving benefits for many industry segments, including retail stores, quick-service restaurants and monitored street lighting systems. Wonderware System Platform software provides a single, unified platform for the SCADA, supervisory HMI, MES and EMI software solutions needs of industrial automation and information personnel.

Working in conjunction with Wonderware software, ConneXSoft products help customers decrease development time, cost and project risk by providing BACnet and LonWorks connectivity with a new class of industry-specific application generators, application objects and tools.

The specific endorsed software applications include the ConneXSoft CXSiLink integration package for the Echelon i.LON SmartServer, the communication Data Access Server and related application objects. They are designed to be integrated into Wonderware Facilities Management software solutions. Also included is the ConneXSoft CXS BACnet Integration Package, which includes the BACnet Data Access Server and BACnet Application Generator. The BACnet server and generator enable customers to integrate the building automation communication standard, BACnet, into the Wonderware Facilities Management software applications.
