Carbon emission management, renewable energy projects to be showcased

PHOENIX - (November 10, 2009) – Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI), the global leader in providing energy efficiency solutions for buildings, will highlight the need for facility owners and managers to take decisive and aggressive actions to make existing buildings throughout the world more sustainable at Greenbuild 2009, November 10-13 in Phoenix.

Under the theme – Efficiency Now, it’s never been more important – Johnson Controls will showcase energy efficient tools, technologies and case studies through customer testimonials at booth number 3344 in the Phoenix Convention Center. The company will highlight its leading Energy and Emissions Management System, Metasys Sustainability Manager™ software, renewable energy projects and its progress in the credentialing of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) professionals at the show.

“Energy efficiency is a critical element in improving the sustainability of new and existing buildings,” said Clay Nesler, vice president, Global Energy and Sustainability, Johnson Controls. “Given increasing pressure to reduce energy costs, limit carbon emissions and increase property values, energy efficiency has never been more important to building owners, communities and society as a whole.”
