BACnet® International Opens Survey To Measure BACnet Usage and Trends

ATLANTA, Georgia (September 3, 2008) - BACnet® International today announced that it has released a comprehensive survey to measure BACnet adoption and usage trends. Click here to access survey. details. This is first in a series of annual surveys intended to capture meaningful data related to BACnet® adoption and usage patterns. The survey will capture aggregate information about the geographic distribution of BACnet installations as well as general information regarding the functionality of installed BACnet products. All members of BACnet® International as well as other BACnet equipment manufacturers are encouraged to participate.

“Collecting accurate data about industry use of BACnet® is a challenge because of its broad adoption and application.” said Natalie Nardone of BACnet® International. She continues, “We believe this annual survey will enable us to make more informed decisions about the development of the BACnet® International organization – helping us to better plan events that meet the needs BACnet® users around the globe. We also hope to gather meaningful data about BACnet deployment questions.”

The survey is now open, and will close on October 15th, 2008. The survey is open to all BACnet® manufacturers around the world, including BACnet International members. All responses to survey questions are confidential, and only anonymous, aggregated results will be presented and shared with the community.
