iMod is an innovative hardware-software platform for telemetry and automation. The platform is based on an NPE industrial computer and dedicated software, which enables an engineer to run the device with the use of simple configuration, without the need for complex programming.

iMod can perform the following functions:

•    Versatile controller
•    Data logger
•    Programmable Logic Controller
•    Serial port server
•    GPRS router
•    Notifying module.

Method of functioning:

In a typical case, iMod performs a specific sequence of tasks:

1.    Downloading data from NPE interface or other external devices using the Modbus, mBus, or other protocols.
2.    Buffering gathered data (with the archiving option).
3.    Making data available for monitoring systems (such as SCADA or other iMod or PLC drivers) in polling form (pull-style) as well as event form (push-style).
