Lauren Scott, V.P. Marketing & Sustainability – ISG, Acuity Brands

Lauren Scott is the Vice President of Marketing & Sustainability at Acuity Brands’ Intelligent Spaces Group. Scott specializes in translating climate initiatives into meaningful action to deliver on commitments to the building and renewables sectors. Her marketing and communications background is leveraged to promote social and environmental responsibility as an approachable, yet critical part of business operations.

Most Recently Scott began “The Resilience Reporta podcast dedicated to highlighting the inspiring work of the leaders paving the way in sustainable business.

Abby Massey, Tax Incentives Director, Calvetti Ferguson

Abby Massey, PE, PMP, LEED AP has a diverse and extensive work experience beginning in structural engineering at Luckett & Farley, an all-disciplines architecture firm headquartered in Louisville, KY. Abby was responsible for the structural design of commercial buildings in many industries such as K-12, higher ed, retail and restaurants, federal, and hospitality.

Abby continued her engineering career in design and forensic engineering at Carl Walker and American Structurepoint where she obtained her Professional Engineering license. Abby then relocated to Houston, TX to pursue a career in tax incentive consulting, specifically in energy and real-estate related tax credits and deductions. Abby has held various roles including the 179D Service Line Lead, where she traveled across the country to perform on-site building assessments and consulted with clients regarding the 179D tax deduction.

In her most recent role as Director of Tax Incentives at Calvetti Ferguson, Abby leads a team of incentive specialists and consults on incentives such as Section 179D, the Investment Tax Credit, Section 45L, and Cost Segregation. Abby’s work experience showcases her expertise in tax incentives, project management, engineering, and building assessments.

Stephanie Poole, Decarbonization Engineer, SES Consulting

Stephanie is a Senior Decarbonization Engineer with SES Consulting. She has a wide range of project experience including energy efficiency and decarbonization studies, implementations, commissioning, project management and strategic planning support. She also teaches decarbonization courses through the Canadian Institute for Energy Efficiency (CIET) and Nexus Labs.

Gary Graham, Energy & Sustainability Consultant

Gary Graham brings over 40 years of experience helping clients assess, develop and implement energy and sustainability programs. Prior to retiring in late 2022 and taking on consulting work, Gary spent over 9 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he directed and supported a team of energy and sustainability professionals focused on strategic program development and implementation resulting in lower utility use, increased renewable energy consumption and lowered GHG emissions for our Global Occupier Services clients.

Gary has also held sales, operations and management roles for Johnson Controls, Landis and Gyr Powers, as well as Southern California Edison, Edison Source, Northern States Power, PG&E Energy Services, JLL, SCIenergy and kW Engineering. Graham holds a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana and is a Certified Energy Manager and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Raneem Shammas, Software Manager – Integrated Building Technology, Modern Niagara

With a background in Mechanical Engineering – a specialization in Control Systems and Energy, I went into the building automation construction space to make a change, not only to use data to upgrade our existing buildings and how they operate, but to utilize it in educating owners on what their buildings could be and the sustainable development strategies they can implement to reduce their carbon footprint and have lasting impact.
