AUSTIN, Texas  – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) announced the development of the semiconductor industry's first 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) specified to operate at temperature ranges of minus 55 to 125 degrees Celsius. The latest versions of the 32-bit MPC500 family of PowerPC® microcontrollers meet a growing need for high-performance MCUs designed to tolerate the harsh environmental conditions of avionics and aerospace applications.
