Spartan Peripheral Devices announced its revolutionary ThermoPyla range of energy harvesting self powered ME8430 globe terminal unit control valves. It is being shown for the first time at ASHRAE 2012 in Chicago, booth number 3846.

At the cutting edge of new technology is the NEW thermodynamic ME8400 series self powered wireless terminal unit control valve.

NO WIRES - NO BATTERIES.
With an innovative system of harvesting its own energy, there is no need for a connection to a power source!

The wireless self powered actuator is designed with a 315MHz receiver (ME8430) for the North American market, and a 868 MHz receiver (ME8480) for the European market. The complete thermodynamic unit consists of a TGU module (thermo generating unit) and ME8400 actuator incorporating energy accumulator, position control and EnOcean 2-way communication dolphin chip set.
