CAN2GO Web BEMS adds dashboard, previews Android app

MONTREAL, QC & CHICAGO, IL – January 23rd, 2012 – SCL Elements, manufacturer of CAN2GO products, officially launched the new dashboard feature of its award-winning license-free Web BEMS at the 2012 AHR Expo in Chicago. The company also showed previews of its Android app and block programming features, which will be added to the Web BEMS this Spring.

The dashboard provides clear-cut visualizations for system integrators and facility managers that want customizable real-time data monitoring of their buildings. They can quickly create dashboards for rooms, zones, floors, or entire buildings. Dashboards are created by drag-and-dropping widgets of graphs, charts and gauges on a canvas, and then associating them with objects, trend logs and variables already configured in the Web BEMS.

“Facility managers want an easy way to see, in one shot, what is right, wrong and how much they are consuming and saving in their buildings. That is what the dashboard allows you to do. It can be used to monitor as well as educate managers and occupants about their energy use, their environmental footprint and how they can reduce both.” said Simon Leblond, CEO of SCL Elements, manufacturer of CAN2GO products.

The Android app (for phones and tablets) provides mobility for managers and technicians on the go. On a tablet, the Android app can also be used as a live wall-mounted display of energy consumption and building systems activity. This can help sensitize occupants about their energy footprint, as well as highlight which efforts are made to improve efficiency.

The block programming will allow system integrators that are used to this method of commissioning to seamlessly integrate CAN2GO to their solutions offering. It will also be one of the few web-based block programming solutions on the market. Both the Android app and the block programming will be included in the Web BEMS in the second quarter of this year.

The CAN2GO Web BEMS, winner of the 2011 AHR Expo Innovation Award for Software in 2011, is included with CAN2GO controllers without any software license fees. It is ideal for light commercial and mid-market buildings that are looking for shorter payback periods than with traditional BEMS systems that come with license fees or high dedicated server costs. The CAN2GO Web BEMS can also be used to manage multiple sites, which is very practical and effective for retail chains and school boards.
