CTEC-Varennes of Natural Resources Canada has announced a call for an expression of interest for the development and commercialization of its software prototype DABO TM Diagnostic Agent for Building Operation.
Official documentation is
available at the following address:
www.cetc-varennes.nrcan.gc.ca/en/dabo.html.
The call for expressions of
interest is aimed at pre-qualifying the firms that are interested in pursuing
the development and licensed commercialization of the DABOTM software
prototype.
DABOTM makes it easier to optimize the performance of buildings equipped with various mechanical systems and a Building Energy Management System (BEMS). Thanks to DABOTM, specialists in building operation have access to mechanical systems operation data whenever they need it through a database designed to facilitate the understanding of operation parameters and their interactions. DABOTM algorithms make it possible to continuously monitor the optimal and normal functioning ranges of different components of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and to detect and diagnose faults. The sophisticated DABOTM algorithms also make it possible to automatically produce detailed reports tailored to the specific needs of the building. These reports include performance-index calculations that simplify the search for the best operating conditions while aiming to optimize the building’s energy efficiency.
