“Matrox Extio products work very well with Honeywell control systems, including the Icon Series Console,” says Dennise Kodimer, Systems Hardware Engineering, Honeywell Process Solutions.

“Since graphics, audio, and USB hardware is integrated into the Extio device itself, graphics performance at 800 ft is as fluid as it would be if the displays were powered directly by an add-in card in a computer only a couple of feet away under the desk."

Reliable Controls The Matrox Extio™ F1400 multi-display RGU enables the extension of up to four displays, audio and six USB devices by up to 820 feet of fiber-optic cable. In addition, the Extio F1400 features passive (fanless) cooling and PCI Express technology, which makes it an ideal solution for professional and mission critical applications requiring a reliable graphics and I/O extension solution. By separating the computer from the monitors and user-interface components, the Extio Series of products helps address issues such as security, heat, noise, system maintenance, and support in high-reliability computing environments.
