To Specifically Support The Energy Management Market

[Phoenix, Arizona - March 4, 2010] Engenuity Systems, Inc., the world's largest open systems distributor, today announced a North American exclusive agreement to represent Synetica's DataStream range of data loggers specifically targeted at the energy management market.

The DataStream has pulse inputs, Modbus, analog CT inputs, wireless and EnOcean connectivity options providing the ultimate flexibility for monitoring energy consumption. The Internet-connected device enables users to collect, store and transmit data for energy management at a very affordable price. Built-in Ethernet and optional Wi-Fi connectivity provides high speed, real time access to meter data via the Internet or corporate IT networks. The DataStream has the capability to consume, process, record, and present data from multiple energy meters and environmental sensors. Data is stored on the DataStream and automatically sent to a central server, such as a monitoring and verification (M&V) package or a spreadsheet like Microsoft® Excel® for further analysis.

The Energy DataStream has been designed as a 'plug & play' device making it easy to install, configure and operate without any special knowledge or IT skills. Configuration is carried out via a simple web browser interface. Once configured, the Energy DataStream automatically sends the logged data via email and/or FTP at the selected intervals. In addition to direct metering, the Energy DataStream also enables indirect metering to be used to reduce costs based on calculated or virtual meters. Data logged by the Energy DataStream can be presented as energy profile charts within a standard web browser. The built in interactive charts allows logged data to be viewed in a variety of formats including line and bar charts. In many applications the built-in energy profiling application can be used in place of a full-featured M&V application.

"The Energy DataStream product has been designed to address the specific needs of energy data logging; delivering simple, flexible and a cost effective solutions to every project. We are very excited about our partnership with Engenuity and believe they have the channel to market and technical support resources for our product" comments Sean Williams, Director and co-founder of Synetica.

Commenting on the partnership Tracy Markie, president of Engenuity Systems, Inc. added "The Synetica DataStream family of products fits our channel extremely well and is a product line we believe addresses our customers' needs today. The first step in any energy conservation strategy is to measure where and when energy is being consumed; this product will help customers achieve this business objective. Syneticas' customers to date have had a very compelling return on investment, most within a matter of months!"
