BACnet International is accepting
nominations for elective member positions on the BACnet Testing Lab
Working Group (BTL-WG). Please complete the following application
if you are interested in being considered for a position on the BTL-WG,
which is chaired by the BTL Manager, Duffy O'Craven.
Purpose of the BTL-WG
The BACnet Testing Laboratories
Working Group (BTL-WG) provides oversight and guidance to the BACnet
Testing Laboratories (BTL). The BTL is responsible for the technical
aspects of BACnet International's testing and listing activities, the
central goal of which is to improve BACnet interoperability between
building automation products.
BTL-WG activities include the following:
a) Organize multi-vendor interoperability testing sessions,
b) Maintain the BTL Implementation Guidelines,
c) Maintain and extend the BTL Testing Package,
d) Oversee the testing process and answer questions raised about the BTL Test Package, and
e) Develop test tools for use by the BTL and the BACnet International membership.
Terms
There are two positions available:
one for a five-year term, one for the remaining two years of a
term. Nominated parties should be a member of BACnet
International (or be employed by a corporate company member). Please
note that no company or organization shall have more than one voting
member on the BTL-WG.
