Distech Controls Fills Positions in Sales and Technical Support and Announces Vice Presidents of Sales.

To support an important worldwide sales growth over the last year, Distech Controls has hired seven new members in the Sales and Technical Support teams.

To manage its office and operations in Shanghai, China, Distech Controls has hired Charles Xu as General Manager. Charles holds a college diploma in Electrical Automation Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Bachelor's degree in International Trade from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade. Charles has over eleven years experience in sales management for HVAC manufacturers with operations in China; previous to which, he worked five years in the field on installations. Charles will be responsible for the development of sales and branding of the Distech Controls’ products in China.

Dean Gibson joined Distech Controls in April 2007, as Sales Manager for the South East Asia region. A mechanical engineer specialised in control and power engineering, he brings twenty years experience in the HVAC industry, having managed business operations in Australia, Singapore and China. Dean is based in Sydney, Australia.

Dean joins Erhard Dobler’s team of international sales, already composed of Rafic Mouzaya, Sales Manager for the Middle East. Erhard Dobler, who has been with Distech Controls for five years now, has been promoted to the position of Vice President of International Sales, responsible for the development of international markets and the maturity of Distech Controls’ strategic partnership segments such as OEMs and ODMs.

Jim St. Claire takes on the position of Sales Support Engineer. Jim brings ten years of varied experience to the sales team, having worked for manufacturers, distributors, and contractors in the controls field. His experience includes expertise in many communication protocols and networks, system integration, particularly with web based solutions. Jim's practical experience will allow him to focus on developing and assisting the sales team with technical presentations and with product application support.

Reliable Controls Patrick Winkelman has accepted the position of Vice President of Sales Americas and will be responsible for the strategic development of sales and product positioning within the American markets. Patrick Winkelman’s Americas’ Sales team includes Omar Tabba, Rod Giltaca and Billy Wyatt.

Joining the Internal Sales team, managed by Carl Ampleman, George Koufos is Distech Controls’ new internal sales rep. George graduated from Vanier College (Canada) from the Building Systems Engineering Technology program, specializing in HVAC. George counts 2 years experience in sales management as well as field experience in BAS, having worked as an HVAC specialist for Kraft Foods. George will be responsible for supporting clients in their purchasing of Distech Controls’ products and third-party peripherals.

Jacques Ménard joined Distech Controls’ technical support team. Jacques brings twenty years of field and management experience in HVAC and a thorough understanding of client concerns. Additionally and to support its Research and Development team, Distech Controls has hired two new Test Engineers, responsible for product testing and product application research.

Distech Controls’ growth and sales development strategies, applauded by Frost and Sullivan, earned the 2007 Frost and Sullivan North American Building Automation Systems Growth Excellence of the Year Award.
