Albuquerque's Own Energy Control Inc. Named “BEST OVERALL COMPANY” In The U.S.

Jack McGowan, CEO of Energy Control Inc., New Mexico’s oldest and most successful energy technology company, accepted a “Stevie Award” for the Best Overall Company in the US with under 100 employees. Energy Control recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary in New Mexico and experienced tremendous growth in revenues and employees since its inception in 1976. Today, ECI has 65 employees and annual revenues of approximately $14 million.

The Stevie Award, sponsored by the 2008 American Business Awards, recognizes companies each year for excellence in business practices. The awards were presented in New York on June 12 and presided over by Cheryl Casone, news anchor with the Fox Business Network, and Michael Gallagher, President of the American Business or Stevie Awards. The Global Sponsor for the 2008 presentations was Dow Jones, the publisher of the Wall Street Journal.

ECI was named “Best Overall Company” because it has gained recognition nationally for its’ business model as a green energy technology company and because of its numerous award winning renewable energy and energy efficiency projects throughout New Mexico.
