New Members Expand InsideIQ’s Presence in the Northwestern U.S.

LITTLETON, Colo. — June 4, 2013 — The InsideIQ Building Automation Alliance, an international alliance of independent building automation contractors, has expanded its presence in the Northwestern United States by welcoming Control Solutions Northwest (CSN) and Utah-Yamas Controls as its newest member firms. Based in Spokane Valley, Wash., CSN supplies, installs and services digital control and automation systems. Utah-Yamas Controls provides leading edge control systems using open system architecture from its headquarters in Draper, Utah, and from additional offices in Utah, Idaho and Nevada.

“Both CSN and Utah-Yamas Controls are industry leaders in this region offering advanced technology and exceptional customer-service, which is why each company is a perfect fit for InsideIQ,” said Mark Balent, president of the InsideIQ Building Automation Alliance. “With their impressive customer lists, highly-skilled workforces and solid financial performances, CSN and Utah-Yamas Controls encompass all the qualities that define InsideIQ member companies.”

With 18 employees, CSN has been a full service supplier to the private commercial and municipal buildings market in eastern Washington, northern Idaho, and western Montana since 1964. CSN provides products, services, and solutions that help commercial and institutional building owners and managers control their indoor environments, protect assets, and reduce energy and operational expenses. Offering customers a range of digital automation technologies, CSN maximizes comfort while minimizing energy use with a variety of standard and custom software combined with sophisticated operating sequences. CSN also enhances safety and security with its integrated digital video and card access products.

“CSN joined InsideIQ to be part of an organization that provides collective benefit and value to all its members and to be associated with a group that shares our desire to operate our business to the highest level of professional standards,” said Patrick McGahey, chief executive officer and chief financial officer of Control Solutions Northwest. “As a highly experienced team, we share in the excitement and satisfaction of delivering comprehensive solutions to each of the clients we serve.”

Established in 1991 by David and Eldonna Rossiter, Utah-Yamas Controls serves customers from offices in Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah; Meridian, Idaho; and Sparks, Nev. With more than 100 employees, the company provides direct digital control systems for HVAC, access control, video surveillance systems and energy services. Utah-Yamas Controls engineers, installs and services products that allow facility operators to seamlessly integrate a building’s environmental, lighting, security, closed circuit television and energy services— whether the building is a retail store, a high rise, or part of a multi-building campus.

“Although we have a well known name in our marketplace, Utah-Yamas Controls recognizes the national benefits of being associated with InsideIQ, including the ability to draw from the different perspectives and deep experiences of other InsideIQ firms,” said Scott Porter, president of Utah Yamas Controls. “Our ability to design and implement integrated solutions using the latest technology to provide our customers with comfort and cost savings is something we share with the other members of the InsideIQ Alliance.”
