National Trade Organization recognizes Ameresco’s technical and business expertise with renewed Energy Services Provider accreditation

Framingham, MA – November 17, 2010 -  Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE:AMRC), a leading energy efficiency and renewable energy company, announced today it has been reaccredited by the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), the national trade organization that represents the energy services industry.  Ameresco’s solutions include efficiency upgrades to facility energy infrastructure, Energy Supply Management and the development, construction, and operation of alternative energy sources.  This is Ameresco’s fourth consecutive NAESCO accreditation.

Energy service providers help to pinpoint gaps in energy efficiency and opportunities for renewable energy and to optimize energy supply, whether for a single facility or an entire real estate portfolio.  Calling upon a wealth of expertise and experience, Ameresco generates holistic energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions for customers.  Providing expertise in projects across North America, from auditing to designing and building, all the way through to facility operations and maintenance, Ameresco is one of the largest independent energy services companies throughout North America.

“Ameresco passed what is a very stringent accreditation process and we applaud their continued track record of success,” said Terry E. Singer, Executive Director of NAESCO. “In accreditation, NAESCO recognizes companies for the technical and managerial competence to develop comprehensive energy efficiency projects, services, financing, design engineering, operations and maintenance services, and verifying energy savings according to accepted industry practice.”

“We are honored that NAESCO has reaccredited Ameresco and reaffirmed our continued commitment to customer satisfaction and service,” said George Sakellaris, president and chief operating officer of Ameresco.  “Ameresco’s project portfolio has expanded over the years because our team of experienced and dedicated experts puts customer satisfaction first.  In the years to come, we will use this accreditation to build further on our successes and to ensure that our customers get the results they are looking for.”

contemporary Ameresco was first granted energy service provider accreditation from NAESCO in 2001 and has since maintained its status.  Accreditation is bestowed in three year intervals. The Accreditation Committee is comprised of knowledgeable industry experts who are unaffiliated with the companies under review.  Multiple customer references are checked by the Accreditation Committee which also reviews extensive project documentation. The stringent level of data review and resource information verification distinguishes NAESCO’s accreditation requirements from those of other accreditation organizations.
